Square Feet formula
Sunriver Metal Works uses Square Feet to calculate the cost of our products.
We determine what our square foot cost is at the beginning of each year. If prices fluctuate during the year, we revisit our per S.F. cost and adjust as necessary.
It’s easier for us to set a base cost per square foot and adjust accordingly for custom piece requirements. We look at material and labor costs to produce each piece, as well as special paint or patina needs.
We will sometimes set prices for a group of products (e.g. our specific breed dog leash hangers) because of the design time required for each new breed hanger.
Each custom product request is unique. This standard provides a good starting point.
