Just Say No
We don’t like to say no. But sometimes you just have to. Around the holidays, telling people no is especially difficult. They are trying to make people happy. You want to help them do that.
Personalized Gifts
When we receive contacts from potential customers, it shows that we create unique items for gift giving. People love giving personalized gifts. It shows the thought and caring behind a gift. We think this because most of what we do is custom work.
Setting Deadlines for Christmas Orders
Deadlines are hard to communicate at Christmas. Because we have many new customers, email notifications won’t work. Last year, we shipped our last Christmas order a week before Christmas. Because we couldn’t say no. Our health and happiness suffered from this decision. We decided to change our approach for this year.
This year, we’ll be shipping our last Christmas orders 2 weeks before Christmas. This allows for weather issues that might occur. Last year, we lost power for 3 days right before Christmas. We also had internet problems. We barely met our commitments to customers for their orders. This year is different.
We received Christmas orders beginning in September this year. For custom orders, you have to plan ahead. Some people understand that. You can’t wait until the last minute and expect to receive something custom. Last minute shopping is for Amazon, Wal-Mart or other big box stores.
The Truth Will Set You Free
Once we decided to set a deadline, our stress level immediately lowered. It means we’ll have a Christmas this year, too. We’ll be closed the last two weeks of December for our holiday season. We’re not going to kill ourselves because people waited until the last minute. This business is about having fun and being creative. Ah… The truth will set your free.
