It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Sunriver Metal Works! Well – maybe not totally. Our snow fall this year has been pretty sparse in the Sunriver area. In fact, there’s just small mounds of snow from the last “major” snow of 2″ a week ago. Our local ski mountain has been getting snow, so folks are happy about that! We just watched the weather forecast, and we could possibly have snow showers for the next week. Fingers crossed!
Christmas Orders
All of the Christmas orders have been completed by Mike, with the last few waiting for local delivery. We’ve been going back and forth about cutting down a Christmas tree, and laughed the other day about using the prototype tree Mike created for William E. Miller Elementary School in Bend as our tree.

A Christmas Miracle!
With orders complete, Mike disappeared into the shop to “clean up”. Next thing I know, he’s in the house telling me to come out to the shop and check something out. Lo and behold, it was a Christmas miracle. So, the little tree that has been sitting in the corner of the shop collecting dust had emerged as a beautiful Christmas tree! The tree has now been clear coated and is waiting for its’ special resting place in our front room. We’re hoping to get it decorated tonight.
