It’s kind of a catch-22. In order to keep Sunriver Metal Works high in search rankings, our website needs to be active. That means we need to continually post fresh content. What is fresh content? Product posts, updates to photos, testimonials, new blog posts, etc. If you write it – will they come?

Then there’s the vehicle to getting the blog posts or information to our friends and clients. Do we send monthly emails with links to the recent blog posts? Or, do we post links on our Facebook page and other social media accounts?

Based on the “clicks” that occur when we post our blog entries on Facebook, they definitely are NOT on the most interesting list.
Good topics
It’s also hard to decide what people are interested in reading about. Here’s some ideas of monthly topics we might include:
- New Products – what are the new custom items recently created, and what new products are ready for the marketplace
- Seasonal stories – focus on upcoming holidays or events and ideas for gift giving or custom creations
- Small Business – the challenges and opportunities of running a small business
- Client stories – highlight specific customer stories and creations
Balance news with interest
It’s always a balance. Don’t inundate people with information they don’t want or need, but whatever we do provide must be interesting and valuable.
