Description
Cove Palisades State Park wanted to create golden eagle art for a beloved park eagle. Bald and golden eagles migrate to Central Oregon’s Lake Billy Chinook each year. In the spring the Park awards a deserving volunteer with eagle art for their work. This golden eagle art honors Aquila, an injured eagle that now resides at the Sunriver Nature Center. The plaque hangs at the Round Butte Overlook Park building.
