The shop was pretty quiet last week. The warm days of Central Oregon made it difficult to fully concentrate on being inside cutting metal. Plus, we are trying to get all of our tree trimming and brush cutting done before fire season!
Mike cut out a couple of deer head markers Saturday for the La Pine Ace Hardware as a special order. Once we got the shop set up last November, we decided to create some snow markers to use around our driveway. We came up with our snowflake markers which proved to be popular with our neighbors. Ace Hardware bought a few as well as some samples we made up. A jumping fish and deer head would give people some ideas of creative ways to mark their driveways. We can take just about any image and create something unique for people to see jumping up from their snowbanks (maybe dancing cats??). These could also be used in the garden in the summer – just a thought!
So you may be wondering about how this fits in with the cat’s meow. This is our indoor cat, AJ, enjoying his special outdoor hideaway. Mike created an entry point from our dining room so AJ can come and go as he pleases during the day. Works great, and AJ gets to enjoy the sunshine as well. And I don’t have to worry about him getting in trouble outside. Mike has always been a problem solver and always has a great solution for any problem or idea.
Let Mike take your idea and turn it into a reality! From your mind to his steel! It’s the Cat’s Meow!
