Sunriver is the perfect place for our business. It’s a small community with Sunriver Resort, houses, condos, and plenty of golf courses. We live 3 miles south of Sunriver proper. Just far enough to avoid some of the insanity that takes place during tourist season. We know when to venture into this small community and when to stay away. The optimum time for us to go to the Sunriver Brewhouse is Sunday afternoon around 4:00 pm. Sunriver has a brewery (score!) as well as a pub and several great restaurants. The grocery store is awesome and well stocked. Plus, we’re close to Mt. Bachelor and the High Cascade Lakes area with loads of winter and summer activities.
Close to Bend
We’re only 20 minutes to downtown Bend (and lots more breweries – again, score!). Bend is a great community with a good combination of large and local businesses. Bend is well known for its close proximity to Mt. Bachelor skiing, summer sports, and water activities. The High Cascade Lakes provide countless opportunities for camping, fishing and water sports. The Deschutes River runs through Bend with great kayaking. Loads of hiking, running, and mountain biking trails are close by. The Pole, Pedal, Paddle is an annual event that is well attended. The town and surrounding area continues to grow (much to the chagrin of long time residents). We bought our plasma CNC from local company, ArcLight. They ship all over the US.
Sunriver Metal Works is able to purchase the majority of its raw materials locally. From steel to specialty paint, Bend provides a very diverse group of locally owned businesses. Our products are sold in two small businesses in downtown Bend. Bendy Dog and Red Pine Cone Gallery each have unique products to check out.
Sunriver USA
When people find us using Google, they are frequently surprised to find out that we’re in Oregon. Apparently, you can Google custom signs and art with our business popping up as local. It surprised us when someone from Florida asked if we were local! In today’s internet economy, it doesn’t make much difference if we’re not located in your hometown. We ship all around the US. At least where FedEx, USPS, and UPS deliver to.
