What are we looking forward to in 2014 at Sunriver Metal Works?
Customers and Products
- Developing an online shop to make it easier for people to see what we have to offer and see how easy it is to own custom metal art. We will start with just a few items in January and slowly add products as the year progresses.
- Creating a loyalty program through our store for repeat customers.
- Expanding our product offerings. We’ve had lots of suggestions on ideas for home and garden art, as well as new signs.
- Creating our first gate. Mike has some initial designs, and our first prototype will be installed right here at Sunriver Metal Works! We just purchased a bender, which will allow us to create circles, arcs, and bends in flat stock and metal art.
- Participating in more shows (Stop by and visit our booth at the upcoming NW Fly Tyer & Fly Fishing Expo in Albany, Oregon March 7-9).
- Improving our product photography. We hear so often that the pictures don’t do justice to the metal work. The patinas produce such a varied array of colors that the clear coat further enhances. Pat will be taking classes from the Cascade Center of Photography and Central Oregon Community College this year.
- Using airbrush painting techniques in our metal work.
- Introducing gel patinas from our supplier, Steel F/X, into our work.

- Expanding our social media efforts. You can find us on Facebook (Sunriver Metal Works), YouTube (Sunriver Metal Works), Twitter (SunriverMetalWk), Pinterest (SunriverMetalWk), Google+ (Sunrivermetalworks) and Instagram (Sunrivermetalworks). We are actively posting on Facebook right now and plan to increase our activity on the other social platforms.
- Creating a monthly newsletter to our email subscribers.
Life Balance
AND enjoy beautiful Central Oregon as we spend more time kayaking, biking, fly fishing, hiking, snowshoeing, and anything else that tickles our fancy. We are looking forward to growing our business in 2014. You never know where life will take you, and we are here to tell you – We Can’t Wait!
